now, as i pass this pen unto you

I don't have a title but this is something I wrote for my friend.

The devotion of your life is slipping away.
My inspiration for you has departed to the unknown.
What happened to our sweet memories at the park with our dreams?
Reasons that I've found for you have been lost....but to where?

I've seen you pass me up countless times
but was there ever a smile in this depressed induced dream?
I sleep at night and wonder
but there was never a thought of happiness.

The following is more of a poem then a song I guess, and it isn't a very cool one, but it means a lot to me, because it is all true, and about a tiny little kid I used to know a long time ago. I just want to do it as a little tribute to him. :-\

Do we need words? I can do some random tune out of my head(yes, I randomly come up with tunes in my head) if I can translate it to a musical instrument and record it.
