Wow I thought he had already retired. I hope who ever takes over does a better job. Not that Yamauchi wasnt doing a good job, but Nintendo should strive for someone who is better. Im pulling for the Revolution to do great.

He retired as company president a long time ago. Satoru Iwata is the company president. But being on the board of directors still gave Yamauchi some influence over the company.

Hopefully not.  With seeing what "young blood" makes.... most are retarded.

Your best games are made from people with experience.
RARELY should young blood be brought to the board of directors.
It can happen... but the board of directors are normally people that have a good idea how business works inside and out.
We might not have a Nintendo if it wasn't for their smart business practices.... they are smart when running a business.

many people won't agree.... but older business people are more set in their ways, but they also have TONS more experience and knowldege.  Younger people sometime have bold new and good ideas (which is not bad), but if you cannot make the company survive..... then what use are you?

I am not saying young is bad, but experience should be the key.

Yo yo yo!

:lol

I think that picture says everything I can and then some.

Seriously though, by "young" I just mean people like Reginald Fils-Aime (that Nintendo PR guy that "took names and kicked ass" at last year's E3). Somehow Yamauchi just doesn't fit that role.

Yeah theres also the chance that the next person can actually be too old. I just hope they take some time and really try to get the right person.
