July 27th, 1989. The Famicom (Japanese NES) received the very first MOTHER (aka EARTHBOUND) game. On this day in 1989, the first MOTHER game was released in Japan, for Nintendo's Famicom. Sadly in North America we only saw it's sequel MOTHER 2 on the Super Nintendo only back in 1995...
