That's all fine and well. But when do we actually get the free game?

You should have read Mega's post...

These people who are suing are about to get owned by MS. Next time they should read the EULA.

16. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY
We provide the Service "as-is," "with all faults" and "as available." The Microsoft Parties give no express warranties, guarantees or conditions. You may have additional consumer rights under your local laws that this contract cannot change. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, workmanlike effort and non-infringement.

Some states have laws that specify that any product or service should be free of any defect. In other words, by merely offering Xbox Live, some states will argue that XBL should work flawlessly. And if it isn't, then comsumers are to be compensated, especially since they charge for the service.

I understand that. But from what I hear that isn't the case in Texas. Unless someone else knows otherwise.

Plus, five million dollars?

Just shows the collective honesty of this great country.

@ Creepin', If Texas doesn't have laws set up, the it will get thrown out. But not before Microsoft gets tried, convicted and sentenced in the court of public opinion.

I understand that too, but from what I've been seeing, the majority of the people are on MS's side, at least in this case.

Well, in that case, that's good(?). I cannot understand how society accepts these types of cases...

As long as people are money hungry and can grab a good attorney. They'll sue anybody for anything.

Apparantly, there was 2 million new subscribers during the holiday period...  That's just crazy...

Bach also revealed some figures about the 360's online network, Xbox Live. He said the service now boasts over 10 million subscribers, which is "six months ahead of schedule." He said the boost was courtesy of the addition of over 2 million subscribers over the holidays, when Xbox Live experienced widespread problems. Bach studiously avoided any mention of the problems, Microsoft's apology, or the subsequent lawsuit filed against Microsoft over the outages.
