it's hard to range it. be easier to take each genre then maybe the top two or three, automatically take one, then a 2nd or 3rd, bearing out which is best of that number among the other genres

(edit: I meant I'm getting this on PSP. D'oh! Unless of course they release it on PC.) :-[
 
considering I only own 9 games for PS2.. I do have to say that FFX has got to be the best game that I think I have ever played.
other than that, I'm a fan of need for speed underground and also I'm kind of liking Evergrace (kinda tough to get into at first, and i've only been playing for about 5-6 hours in total) but it seems like something that I would take the time to actually finish.

so here's my little list
1. FFX
2. kingdom hearts (got my older brother hooked on that one too)
3. NFSU
4. Metroid prime

thats all I can think of.. RPGs have got to be the best tho, I'm a fan of really cool storylines and turn-based menu style fighting.
 
You should try Midnight Club 3. It's more arcade-ish than NFS: Underground, but on the other hand it combines the best parts of NFS:U2 with the speed from Burnout and adds bikes as well as cars. It's simply amazing.

8. Rez (I prefer the DC version, but the PS2 rev is still a solid game)

Royce, I noticed you didn't put Midnight Club 3 up there? Why not? To be short, it's one of the few games I have beaten the last few years. That and Mercenaries. Sure crashing don't matter much and the streering is unrealistic, but that's exactly why it is so fun. You can't go 200MPH towards traffic on a bike in a race and fail every time you crash, can you? ;)

I have no clue what Mercernaries is about.. haha. Never heard of Predator; Midnight Club 3.. isn't my style; I despise driving games of any sort.

Now, SO:TTEOT I would've probably put up, but I still haven't played it. :\ Not really willing to fork out $90AUD for it.
 
Just get a used copy like everyone else. ;)

Mercenaries can be described as GTA set in Korea. Some guy steal a nuclear bomb, non one can get him in time, and so they hire a mercenary to do the dirty work. This backfires a bit, as the mercenary can team up with anyone at any time. Why help the Allied forces kill off the russian mafia if the mafia pays more?

Predator shouldn't need explaining. If you don't know what a Predator is, I suggest you do a quick search on google. The game itself plays like a tuned down GTA that focuses a lot more on the missions, and it finally feels like you are the Predator. That should say enough.
 
Never seen used copies of it in EB. I don't think anyone buys it. The singular $90 copy has been there for ages.

Yeah, I've heard of Alien vs Predator, and it's between two ugly guys, but that's where my knowledge ends.

Those games aren't typically my taste; but they can complete my list. I have nothing better to add, haha.
