hen people do this type of thing,the game makers come up with new,and expensive ways to stop piracy.We end up paying for it,when they charge a little more for their games.....so yeah,they do make it more expensive for us
 
What could have made this a riot...if it was a group of Mexicans and the white van is spray paint "YO! DA XBAWK ROMZ IZ SOLD HEER HOMEZ!" in loud neon colors...then a picture of an AZTEC Warrior painted on the other side of the van....with rimz.....gotta have rimz...and hyrdo's fer sure esse!!.....udala vato!! QUE PASA?!! :D

That's not as funny considering that I work in a mental health facility that used to be one of the Charter facilities.

Yea, but it's hard not to crack a joke on anythin nowadays without someone getting offended. I bet if I said "God Bless America" in here someone would get offended.

I've actually always found that statement to be quite arrogant. I think it's very self-righteous and egotistical. However, I'm not offended by it, simply because I don't have time to be offended every time an American gets "patriotic."  :lol

What expensive things do game companies do to stop piracy? Isn't it the police's problem to stop people who are breaking the law?
 
Well the PS3 is supposed to make pirating games much harder..and the games will cost more in part because of the new technology used to make them.

Probablly things like encrypting randomly assorted things. Really, companies make it so your casual gamer won't be able to pirate but anyone who really wants to can.
 
I don't really see what companies can do to stop piracy. Aside from laying out the system architecture so that it's harder to get into and mess with, but that isn't necessarily expensive, its just better designed.

Although I do know in places like China and Korea everyone seems to bootleg everything. And lost profits there do have to come out of someone's pocket, and I doubt the company is going to take it out of their personal money stash...
