Can You Outrun the Crosshairs +
For the last few months I have been having trouble with my 360, it sounds like the engine inside it or something is going out cause it is super loud when it revs up and such and it feels like it is about to die every time I turn it off but I've never gotten the Red Ring on it. My warranty is expired so that is no help either. All my friends are calling my 360 the IED now cause you never know when it is going to blow. It is actually freaking me a little now. LOL

Yeah that's about how mine is. Also my disc tray doesn't open/close right. Just gotta wait it out, or at least that's what I'm doing. My warranty was up last year, I'm just hoping it gets the RROD so I don't have to buy a new one. I would like an elite or the new 60 GB model though.

The just force the RROP on yourself by simply forcing the thing to go to the highest resolution setting and then getting it to do that on a tv tha twont support it and bam it will just instantly stop working. We somehow forced this upon my friends and Microsoft sent him a repaired unit and he got that new 3 year warranty.

Ultimately if it is still working and plays games and such why complain? You could just save up for another one, newer model, and such in like one years time and then just buy a new one.

Well it only so so reads games now, I can buy a brand new game and put it in and I have to open and shut the tray like 3 or 4 times in a row to get it to read it as a game and not as a DVD that is unreadable.

Oh wow, my friends will occasionally sound like it is grinding the disc then it says disc read error. That sounds like a tragic problem, so I would save up fast now, or could you repair it, i think it is 70 dollars :(

Yeah that is what mine does every time, it sounds like it over revs or something when I open up the disc tray and you can hear the disc spinning inside it on the tray and I know that can't be good. Also I have gotten mad before and punched it and it made it run better for a week. Got to control that anger of mine towards games so far it is 3 PS2 controllers, 1 Gameboy Color, 3 PS2 games, 1 GBA game and 1 360 game have all been broke due to it and not to mention my first PS2.

Mine has buzzed like a bandsaw since the day I bought it every time a disc spins. It also makes some scary whining noises now and then. Without a doubt it's the noisiest console I've ever owned.

I think the Wii is pretty noisy especially when playing Wii, the lovely sound of whizzing gadgets inside of it as it attempts to load all that data, I havent heard anything from the PS3 though. I have heard rumors that during some games it gets pretty loud?

hmmm i think the 360 needs to be improve really. mine is crazy.

it reads the disk like 3 to 5 mins.

bummer. :-\
