360 problems again...

well my 360 is not reading my games anymore so i followed all their steps took my games else where they worked fine, so i get home figure id try it one more time and the system started making sounds similer to a dial up tone. so i went to the xbox website and i guess when you send in a system to fix the RROD they got rid of warrenty, isnt that awesome. should i pay the ninty dolalrs for the repair and wait the month and half, or go out and buy a new system. also does anyone one know if there are ways to repair this. thank you in advanced.
 
Honestly, I think that if you have the money to spare, you should go buy a new system. Especially with the price drop on the Premium models.

Which happens at the end of July?
 
And? He can't go a few weeks without his 360? It'll take longer than that to repair it probably.

Edit: The other topic we have says July 6th.
 
i've never even heard of that error before. all i've ever had is my screen freezing up and the red rings. i'm on my second xbox now :)
 
so far my #2 hasn't had problems. maybe this one will last. i've had it for a year now. but my first one died with 6 months
