From Software released a preview trailer of its PS3 unique looking RPG 3D Dot Game Heroes, the game will be released in Japan on November 5, 2009.

What if you took an old school 2D RPG, yet turned it into a fully 3D game by leaving the original sprites alone...It would end up looking like "LEGO RPG".

Haha, that looks awesome!

I remember seeing in a magazine people were doing something similar to old games. I saw they did it with Pac-man and Super Mario Bros. Sound familiar to anyone?

I got the game today and I have to say, as a retro fanboy. This game is TOO AWESOME! The main storyline is just like a classic Zelda/Dragon Warrior game. There are many hidden 8-bit references and for $40 this game is quite the bargain! Just remember, it's dangerous to go alone, TAKE THIS! :D

11 actually because I'm so awesome, that I found the hidden HOLY SWORD OF BADASSERY. Just sayin' ya know? 8)

Side note, the classic video game references found in this game are just stumbling all over the place. Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior, Gauntlet, River City Ransom, Mega Man, CastleVania. You name it, it's probably in there from the 8-bit and 16-bit era. The load screens are quite impressive, i.e. Final Fantasy V with a giant chicken instead of a Chocobo. :lol The soundtrack is top notch! Remember, FromSoftware did this and only Atlus produced it. Kudos to these guys and I hope they make a sequel or even a PSP edition! Hands-down one of the finer tribute games out there that really pokes fun at modern gaming by saying "This is the Age of 3D! We can't have 2D!"

Storyline is basically as cliche' as Zelda LTTP. 6 Sages to save and 6 magical orbs! A Dark Lord takes over the land! They need a hero who is a descendant of the other hero! Gosh, like you didn't see that coming did ya? I wonder what Nintendo thinks of this game or even took the time to see it during E3 09'!

Graphic wise, I'm really amazed with it's presentation, and the images/characters are what they appear to be without any questions of what you maybe looking at.

I strongly encourage all fans of Zelda to rent or buy this sleeper hit for sure. :) You won't be disappointed!
