9/11

At my school, someone asked if they were going to have a moment of silence. the teacher said "This class better have 55 minutes of silence or your going to the office."

What a bunghole. Thats mississippi for ya. They also use the paddle here.

Seriously? Do your classrooms have electricity, or is the very building itself stuck in the dark ages?

I find that quite ludicrous, actually. There are situations in which physical contact to restrain a student may be necessary. I believe teachers should have the option to "get physical" if the situation calls for it (breaking up a fight or something), but to believe, in this day and age, that the only way to make a kid behave is to beat him or her until they do so seems to send the wrong message. Something along the lines of "if you make someone feel enough pain, you can get them to do just about anything you want."

My school's named after a tree. Make the connection here.

well, Stealth's got a point. I wanted to punch a kid in the face here. I wanted to get suspended. BUt then I remembered that htey had a paddle. So I just cussed him out.

Its actually a baseball bat thats been sawn down to have a flat edge. :-X

People down here dont even know what an emo is. Theyre a few people who dress in black and play yugioh at lunch. They call them goths. Im like "Well, if you still played yugioh, you would want to hide in the dark too, wouldnt you?"

I used to love yugioh...how the heck did that get steriotyped into emoness?

Yeah...I can't figure that one out either.

And I just realized we're talking about emo Yugioh players in a 9/11 thread. I don't think we could get anymore off topic. :lol

Let's rein it back in before we get to a subject that's somehow further from 9/11.
