I used mine last night (incidentally for the first time, I just bought one about a week ago) and it worked fine. I just set it, closed it, and it went off when I told it to.
The only thing I wonder with it is how much battery power does it take up to do that. I'd like to limit the amount it spends charging, and making that light blink all night must use some power, I just wonder how much.
