No this doesn't come as a result of discussions and happenings going on in other threads, it actually is just really coincidental timing. Really coincidental.

I was watching TV today, and low and behold I saw a Nintendo commercial come on. Bracing for the worst I gazed in terror at the television screen imagining giant mario costumes trying to tell me where the 12 year old party's at. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The members of Good Charlotte were all playing Donkey Konga 2. Now I neither like Good Charlotte or Donkey Konga 2, but the commercial itself was not cheezy, advertised the game adequately, and the game itself was being endorsed by a band that appeals greatly to teenagers. My hat goes off to the guy that came up with the idea for that. If commercials like that continue, Nintendo might just start to appeal to an older audience.
 
I doubt it if they are using bands that appeal to teenagers. Unless you consider teenagers being the older crowd. But its a start even though I despise Good Charlotte. :sick hopefully it works and helps boost GC sales.
 
I really liked the original super smash bros. commercial. Where there was those people in costumes throwing each other and hitting each other, and the song in the background "You and me, and me and you, so happy together". :lol Funny stuff.

same here :lol I thought those were hilarious too. I like where yoshi is parasailing fom the car... and nails the overpass on the highway :lol

Many of Nintendo's commercials have been cool. I don't have time to name them though. I am not so surprised at this commercial
