With little power comes little responsibility
Guys, I've been back here a few times to check out the creativity forum ever since I posted my addicted videos, and do you know what I see? Nothing. Nobody has posted anything new and creative, so I'll take it upon myself to think of something awesome to show you guys.

This is probably an out-of-place post, but it's about the forum, so why not post it here.

While I'm at it, I'll post a few pictures that I photoshopped out of boredom.

It's some pretty basic stuff, but I figured I'd post it anyways. Turrah, everyone.
(BTW - Those are lyrics from MUSE songs.)

Currently im working on a music video for my digital editing class so once thats done ill try to post it. Ive been meaning to post stuff up in this section but I forget. Which is not a good thing because I can always use some good constructive criticism. And maybe ill just post up some random stuff that I fiddle around with.

You and Recky are like the only guys that know how to make pretty good quality movies, and, your both creative. So, we'll wait for you guys to make us some more videos and stuff. :p

sadly enough, Windows Movie Maker 2.

darn I miss Imovie.

Whatever you do dont get Adobe Premiere. Actually its better than movie maker. But if you really want to invest in a great editing program for a pc, get Avid. Im sure you know that already. But I thought I should tell you just incase. And im sure you know about Final Cut pro.

this one time i had to use something lower then windowa movie maker to i forget what it was called but it was horrible this was for a school class to you'd think they let me use something better then it but they didn't

actually Creepin, i know basicly nothing about PC video editing. I just mess around with something until i can get it to do what i want. I had already downloaded a version of Adobe Premiere, but I couldn't be bothered to try to learn how to use it. At first glance it looked pretty freaking complicated.

So, back to my point, any help at all with info on good video editing programs would be great. I was actually looking for a good program that could reverse video clips. You'd think it'd be common, but....

Yeah try Avid I believe they have a free trial version on their website. Avid and Final Cut Pro are professional apps. And they will do whatever it is you want them to do. Like reversing footage. Dont get discouraged about learning a program. It seems hard but these video editing programs are very easy to use once you've learned them, especially Final Cut Pro, which is the one I use.

Premiere Pro is supposed to be the Windows equivalent per se of Final Cut Pro.  I've used both, and they seem to be similar, with each having pros and cons of each.

To each his own I guess.

But I could be wrong about Premiere Pro as well, as I've never used Avid.

If you talk to any pro user, they will tell premiere is a headache. I know for a fact that its not even close to Final cut pro. The only thing that is close to final cut pro and is actually better is Avid. Its THE editing tool used by hollywood editors. But final cut pro is catching up. One of the reasons not many people have heard or even used Avid is because it is a pro app. You have to have an Avid workstation in order to use it. These are extremely expensive. But there is a stripped down version for consumer pc's. But I would rather get Final Cut Pro since runs better on a mac than Avid on an Wintel machine.

From what I hear, Avid has a steep learning curve. I think I'll just stick with Premiere Pro as I already know how to use it.

I figure the tool is not as important as the final product.

True. And yes Avid does have a steep learning curve. But the thing is Premiere doesnt give you as much flexibility as the other two. But its fine if you're just going to do simple edits and a little bit of transitions. But if you want to do pro type video editing then I suggest these other two. If you're going to just make simple videos then by all means use premiere or iMovie. It's cheaper and gets the job done.

I only have a low-quality Canon ZR70MC camera anyway, so Premiere Pro suits my needs well.

Then cool. I suggest the other two to people who want to edit for a living or are looking for a more flexible app.
