Okay if they are going to post ads all over the place for sponsors, they should take away the $50 a year monthly fee..because I don't want ads on something I already pay for.

I really don't see how this makes anything more accessible/convenient. It's just me but, I kinda find it not needed whatsoever.

I'm wondering if that's the route Blizzard is going to take with the necessary b.net play of Starcraft 2, or if it'll be subscription fee supported...

Yeah, I don't understand why I'm paying $8 a month and am going to be seeing advertisements. :/ You should at least be able to disable them if you're a Gold subscriber. City of Heroes, another game I used to play, went the same route -- they had in-game ads, even though you paid $15 a month to play... but they DID give you the option to disable it, something that I was greatly appreciative of.
