Advertisement On TV/Places Like "Staples" Office Depot

In my opinion,I believe it has a tremendous effect.The EB Games stores where I live are stocking less and less strategy guides all the time.Why rent a movie?Why shop at Staples?

I was trying to be careful about how I worded the question.But here it goes

Why buy or rent anything when you can just burn it.Does this burning have a serious and significant impact on retailers.

are you talking about illegal downloads? Also, what does advertisement have to do with what you're asking?

I'm just wondering why people would order a program like "Rosetta Stone" off the TV and other aps when all they need to do is locate the correct site and download the program there for nothing.How much would this affect sales.To answer your question,I do mean illegally.Personally,I prefer to do it the honest way.
