You just now thinking about advertising? Well anyways, I've been advertising at other board that I did attend, doibt know if anyone actually joined or anything, but I know tons of people come and read our topics. That's still good right?

Actually.. this is allowing google pay advertising on this site. :)

I am sure in some way it has helped bman! :) regardless if anyone joined or not.. I'm sure it has helped this site grow. (that is good that tons of people come, yes :) )

I am thinking of this because this site has decent traffic... and it could help right now.

The only think is getting people to click on them..etc. That's what will help support the site :lol I m still weighing this out. I might do a trial run...

Bv, Im not quite understand what your talking about, so your going to signup to Google services for them to put ads on the board?
 
They are annoying, because they take up more space on your main sites/forums but if you can use it to your advantage to make extra cash (clickable banners that pay you for advertising on your site for example) then be my guest :)

:lol that's basically what I am going for. :)

@ bman ^ see mega's post.

basically... it is the clickable ads that would pay the site to be listed on the boards.

well... I am going to do a test run with some small ads in the next couple weeks.. (2 probably).... so we'll see how this goes.

I know it's inconvenient... but I am looking for ways to help pay for the site as we continue to grow. Hosting is decently expensive for what we have... and I am planning to continue growing the site... I am sure within 1 year we MIGHT need a larger server.... I believe that our hits and reach will continue to grow at a pretty good pace as we get these other features in place... more reviews / codes, and more content overall.

This site has A LOT planned for it in the future.... I do mean a lot too :lol

I won't... and no pop ups at all.

You might see 1-2 here and there. BUT regardless... the forums will stay the same. IF they do not provide a significant source of income... they will come down. Lets just say Even for half the hosting charge per month... I wouldn't keep the ads up.
