It does look like a lot of new stuff has been added. However, I remember Vice City hyping up lots of new stuff, and in the end it wasn't much different to GTA3. We'll see though.

Well, according to Rockstar, there will be NO load times in San Andreas... :woot

Actually BV, from what I've heard, there's no load times while driving through the cities. The only load times are in the beginning (after just turning on the PS2) and when going into/out of buildings.

Going from city to city, the disk constantly streams the data off.
 
Yeah, I read that this morning as well.  Is there anything new that they haven't stolen?

I think corporations suck at security if it's this easy.
 
the GTA:SA leak wasn't that big of a deal just 1 week but the halo2 leak being 1 month advance is pretty crazy. But that stuff happens when you have as big a deal game as these.

But either way they have over 1'000'000 pre orders for those games (1.5m for halo2 and 1.3m for gta:sa i think) you won't have any chance of getting this game until the second shipment atleast.

but i think the biggest worry about the games getting leaked was having the game getting spoiled by others.
 
if anyone needs extra GTA's (IE didn't get your pre-orders in and you missed the boat) I might have a couple left.

suppliers are selling out... and I got the last couple. I won't carry them in store, but I scored a couple extra for anyone that wants them :) Like I said, Just in case a couple people missed out and wanted one.

Yeah, its pretty sad to see those two games leaked over the Internet before there actual release day. Well anyways, I got a friend that downloaded GTA: SA and set it up on his HDloader. The game works too! I was shocked too see the game work! So I went over to his house to play it and man...this game is awesome! You can basically do anything crime you want! Though, that this game is filled with profanity, every other word is the 4 letter word! :o

This game should definitly be rate AO! Anyways, you can ride bicycles on there as well, its kinda of weird to be going just as fast as a car on a bike. :-\
Tons of cars to choose from as well! Oh my god, they are tons of cars! Its really hard to get money as well, because most of the mission that I've played you get respect points instead of money and clothes, tatooes, haircuts, etc. are expensive as hell! Another cool thing that I like about GTA:SA is that you can hook up your car, you can put hydrolics on it, paint job, rims, nitro, speaker system, and bodykits, but only on certain cars though.

Well I'm gonna buy this game when its released, Im not gonna be like my friend and download illegal games, because its too much of a hassle to get them working on the console. *tries to explain that to his friend but he doesnt seem to listen*

They haven't managed to pirate Metroid Prime 2 yet! :D Could it be because Nintendo made mini-discs with anti-piracy in mind? +1 for Nintendo.

but can't store much data on those disc's only about 1.5 gigs and is piracy really that big of an deal? for the money they put into it they don't see that in return. Infact many of the people that COULD pirate GTA:SA are buying it because they support the game. They sould be more worried about making better games that cost less so MORE people can enjoy them.
 
I think there is a way to pirate Gamecube games, I've seen some Gamecube games over the internet on torrents, dunno if they work or not. Somone is gonna find a way to get them to work, watch and see.

Yeah, my post was meant in jest. I've heard that you can pirate GC games but it takes more time and effort than it is worth.

And obviously piracy happens all the time. I think we're just hearing so much about it right now because Halo 2, Half-Life 2, and GTA: SA are such high-profile games.

Halo 2 is kind of like...I dunno. People who pirate it have modded XBOXs and most modded XBOXs can't go on Live, so I kind of think that they are screwing themselves over by downloading the leaked version anyway. If they are looking forward to it for the XBOX Live portion then they'd have to buy a legit copy anyway. I don't think GTA has that kind of loophole, since it's not online. There's many pirates that aren't going to care one way or another if their copy is legit or not.

there's other services than x-box live but they suck, actually having the pirate version going around isn't that bad they can get really good on that then buy a ligit copy and play on x-box live then and will be really good on the game by then. To go online most chips can be turn off if they had a good modder.

But it doesn't really matter that much since the amount of people stealing the rights of use of these games is a pretty small precentage of the population, just with all these people making pirate copies public makes it a hassle for the rest of us. The blame of course goes mostly on P2P software since there litterly are millions of people on that stuff. If it could had stayed more privte like it was in the past then there would be much less problems.
 
I'm sure it started private, then went to one kid's friend, then to all his friends, then to all their friends, then to all the P2P networks, then to everyone who felt like downloading.....
 
Nope, I doubt that anyone has this game yet unless they downloaded it and got it on HDloader. This game is set to be released Tuesday, that's the official release date, but they are tons of screenshots over the net.

BTW, GTA:SA has a two-player mode in it! :o
