Alone in the Dark

I prefer the first Alone in the Dark. This movie based one doesn't have as much story and mystery behind it. The Alone in the Dark that came out for PS2 about 5 years back was much better. It was a challenge sort of like the Resident Evil series, where you had to use just as much wit as gun to win.

But, this, though it looks very good, is still a movie based game, and I wouldn't get it unless the reviews sway my mind.

The tech demos are what sold me. Hadn't even considered getting this one until I saw the potential for mishief that was demonstrated therein.

Im going to go ahead and preorder it from gamestop in a few days for the Wii. With the soundtrack CD and bonus t-shirt I would be a fool to misout. I just hope the wii version is as graphically impressive as the other versions are.

Are you talking about the Alone in the Dark on PS1 and Dreamcast back in 2001? called "A New Nightmare"? Which was the 4th installment in the series?

It's weird how the game has come along, from being the first Survival Horror game based off of the H.P. Lovecraft novel to something like this.

Yeah, that's the one. Or else, a differnt in the series. I remember playing the one where you start off as either as the guy outside with the revolver and make your way tot he house, or the woman and you start off inside with the weird old lady surrounded by candels. Then you have to find a weapon yourself... Stupid Shadow Creatures. :lol
