Hello Members,

Where I live in Canada I would have to say I'm blessed with what we have, but there are a lot of things I like about the American Healthcare System as well, but not all, what is your take on this issue?Perhaps some members from oversees have certain views about their health care system as well.

Thank you for viewing.

America needs to step up a lot of things, mainly our debt with China, our inability to raise the value of the dollar, and our health care and whatnot.

The only thing we should lower is the obesity rate.

I would be all for a federal healthcare system, provided they still allowed privatized healthcare to operate alongside it. Everyone gets basic coverage, and you can avoid waiting too long for treatment if you have private healthcare.

I assume you mean the trade deficit, which isn't something that can easily, or necessarily even should be solved.

That came as a result of trying to prevent the recession, and the dollar should recover at least somewhat when we come out of the recession.

Don't we owe them for giving us money so we can print money?

And that will be...?

I don't think so. We are in debt, but that's just because we spent more than the government gained in taxes. We don't owe China specifically though.

I don't know. It depends on how the situation is handled, but I'm sure it won't be more than a couple of years.

I don't wanna really get into it with anybody, but I just wanted to throw in my two cents... I did hear that we owe China a crapola of money, it was on the news one day.

We here in Canada are proud to accept that money on China's behalf. :)

Hi People!

If I had any complaint about our Healthcare System,it would be this,People showing up in the ER waiting room whenever they have a sore throat, nausea from eating too many Whoppers,or a sprained ankle. Not too mention people that had too much to drink calling for an ambulance because they got the "Spins" as a result, and a need for attention from this stupid effects of drinking grandpa's cough medicine all damn day!

It's crap like that which threatens our healthcare systems,no wonder doctors and nurses get fed up.Is it the same where you live?

God bless

Anyways, your post just kinda trails off. You never actually establish a point in that first paragraph. Mainly because I don't get the last sentence.

I hear lead in the water supply will do that. :lol

Anyway, I am not a fan of the U.S healthcare system because it seems from the outside to be run by a bunch of greedy politicians. But it sure beats having nothing at all.

I once had an obstruction in my ears (I worked in a dusty environment), and had to get them flushed. It's pretty cool how they do it. But anyway, I paid my copay, and was done. I got a call one day a few weeks later saying that I owed a "specialist" fee. I asked if I paid my copay. They said yes. I asked if my insurance picked up the rest. They said yes. I then told them I wasn't obligated to pay any more. Never got a call back.

It ain't perfect, but it could be worse.

I list some of our problems.

1. A lot of people are very obese. You can thank the food industry for this and the chemicals they put in food. It's also the government's fault for getting paid to look the other way. Granted, people could also burn some calories than they eat as well.

2. The energy crisis is being blown out of proportion. Gas prices rise because of speculation. Also, people's answers to the crisis aren't any better. Things like solar energy, electric cars, hybrid cars, bio diesel, and coal fired power plants. The answers are simple but people listen to morons like Al Gore about a problem that does not exist. Also, their answers only transfer pollution.

3. It seems that more and more the people in this country are looking for things to be offended by so we all have to walk on eggshells.

4. The health care is good, the health coverage is crap. Some people can't get insurance and for them, if they get sick they are simply screwed. Problem one also contributes heavily to the problem.

I'm sure I'll think of more. These are the ones that come to mind. All solved very simply.

An Eternal List of Everyone's Problems Since the Beginning of Time:

1. Some people have more than others.
2. Those with less fight for more.
3. Those with more fight to keep more.
4. Most people don't really know what they want, anyway, they just know that they want something they ain't already got.

Lather, rinse, repeat, ad infinitum.

1. Gold
2. God
3. Glory
