very cool... check out NIntendo's new poll:
www.nintendo.com

ITs on the main page.
What level of interest do you have, and how much would you pay for an adapter that allowed you to play N64 cartridges on the Nintendo GameCube?

Vote it up peoples!!

I voted yes @ $39

They finally listened to a suggestion that I made (I am sure others made it too... its not just me of course... but I have wrote to them on this since dec 2001.)

Well, I still have a very good working N64, so I wouldn't see the point in this. For other people though, if that's what they want and it works out cheaper, why not.

actually the reason I want it is so I don't have to unhook my Gamecube and I can play the N64 on it.

I'll post my idea that I have been sending to Nintendo since Dec 2001... it would allow you to play 9 Nintendo system's games on 1 system.

I think this device would be "smashing"

Unless you could also use N64 conrollers, forget it.

I pre-ordered WW so that I could get a free copy of OOT thinking that I could just play it on my GC instead of having to hook everything up, but the controls were brutal. I played through two temples and was still struggling with them so I finally just gave up and I haven't played it since. The 64 controller just doesn't translate well to the GC one so for playing old favorites on the GC, I'd have to say I wouldn't pay a cent for that.

really? I had no problems at all... infact, I liked it better on the Gamecube BESIDES the slowdown going into Inventory.. and saving.

Didn't find OOT too bad, but games like Super Mario 64 and Goldeneye will be brutal.
they would?  Time Splitters 2 (a goldeneye near equal for controls) is not too bad at all.
SupeR mario Sunshine was very intuitive with the controls as well.

I am all for it :D

BRING IT ON!!

Winback here I come again :lol :woot

It's also about time I saw some new things being made for the Gamecube. Gameboy Player was nice and all, and if people don't have a working 64 then i'm sure this adapter will be a good treat, but now it's time to see some original stuff, instead of existing systems being milked more.

this is new... isn't it?

what else do you want? Honestly.... give Nintendo your suggestions. I'd like to see what you would want as well :)

I mean...... I'm happy for this.

Gah, you know what I mean. I just want something new and original. The 64's already had it's day.
I know :D

I am curious on what you would like to see though.

I agree with Retro Hero. I have pushed classic systems in the past, but I am looking forward to the next generation of games personally. I also would like to see more new and innovative games rather than rehashing older titles.

I think it is a been there, played that type of deal.

I have gotten a little annoyed with the Game Boy Advance too. I bought the system so I could play original titles on a handheld, and all I see Nintendo doing is rehashing the same titles over and over again. Mario 64? I played that. Metroid Prime? I own that! Zelda: A Link to the Past? I beat that!

Do not get me wrong, classic titles are fun, and I am glad Nintendo is making them, but it seems like that is ALL they make.

I am also a bit annoyed by Nintendo constantly coming out with a new handheld every five seconds. I still have a GBA, and I am perfectly happy with it.

I really would have liked to have seen Nintendo work on the GameCube/GBA connectivity in a positive way before putting out the DS already.

However, if I do eventually buy a DS system, I really hope Nintendo sticks with it instead of giving up on it in a year or two and putting out the "newer" version.
