Should we put an Anime Board on the Forums?

because skateboarding is not a very big topic enough to make a board. however there are tons of animes (besides a videogame cannot be turned into skateboard, unlike anime)

and also it doesn't have as high demand as a anime board

Skateboarding has what, 10-15 games based off of it? The more popular animes like DBZ and Naruto have the same number of games based off of them. Combine all anime games together and you have a number in the hundreds (if not thousands). Hundreds of games made from anime, and 15 made from skateboarding. How can the two even be compared in that respect?

Also, I have to ask how many games have been made into skateboard graphics? Very few, if any at all, I would guess. On the other hand, half the games that come from Japan end up with an anime or manga about them.

Why, may you ask, are all these games turned into animes? Because, many gamers love anime. Want proof? Just look at this forum. I would guess that anyone who doesn't watch at least some anime is part of a minority here. Go anywhere else in America, and you'll be lucky to find one person in ten who likes anime. How many people on the forums skateboard? The only ones I know of are you and Fr0dus.

Why does it matter to you if we have an anime section anyways? Personally, I don't watch much anime either and I probably wouldn't visit the board much. But the only thing an anime section would do is keep anime topics out of general discussion and other boards, and cut down on clutter. What exactly is the problem there?
 
I'm for it. Though I don't watch any animes regularly, I respect that other members here do and feel that they should have a place to express their interest for such animes.
 
Thank you Hines. What you are doing is accelerating the inevitable. Say nothing, and the board comes up. Be dead set against it and voice it the way you are doing and you now have galvanized the populace, and the board goes up faster.

If I were BV, this discussion would be enough evidence to warrant having an anime board. It's convinced me that I as a gamer should seek out and watch some of these to see what the hype is all about.

I think I'll change my vote now... :D
