Does anyone else here like the Fifa Soccer series?

I love it. I have Fifa 2002.... but I have not bought any more yet.. I am planning on getting Fifa 2005 .... maybe... but the Fifa games are WELL done!

I am just wondering who all enjoys these games :)
If so, why?

Post it up!

I've never been into sports games much and the only two sport games I like are Sega Soccer Slam and Pro Evolution Soccer 3.

I used to think FIFa was okay, that was until I played PES3...

pro evolution? Is that a UK only title? or is that not on the Gamecube?

I haven't heard of that game...

what is it like?

I don't like the Fifa games, they're too comercialised and don't focus on skill that much. Winning Eleven is a better soccer game.

unfortunately, winning 11 is not on the gamecube in the US.

Fifa.... it does focus on a lot of skill... especially 2002.
I am not sure how you say that it doesn't. You have to be pretty good at it.

Now, if you said that about Red Card soccer 2003, I would agree 100% :lol

It doesn't focus much ok skill, just throws in a couple of extra moves in each year's game.

Pro Evolution and Winning Eleven focus on REAL soccer skills, infact you need to go through plenty of training modes to learn them all before being able to use them in the game.

I'm a pretty good fan of the Fifa series. I would have to say though, that my favorite soccer game of all time was World Cup 98 for the N64. I got that game used for $20 and I probably played it more than most of my $60 games.

It's on PS2 and I think it's been released in Europe, Japan and the US.

The controls are a lot tighter or responsive than FIFA's and the pace of the game is faster. I can't really give any in-depth analysis, but the game just feels more like football than FIFA does. Playing FIFA 2005 and then Pro Evo 4 directly after each other confirmed to me just how crappy FIFA really is. FIFA might have all of the player names and the brands, but it just hasn't got the gameplay.

I have both WE7 and Fifa 05 for ps2. I love them both because they both specialize in different aspects of the game. Fifa gives you the feel of soccer through great graphics, while WE7 has tremendous gameplay. All in all I think they are both amazing games.
