Any musicians in the house?

Besides me :lol, I play drums in 2 bands. I also play the guitar and bass. I used to be a DJ for about 3-4 years. Oh yeah and I used to play recorder :lol that was just because the school made us. Any way both my bands are extremely different in terms of sound, influences, genre, basically everything. It is weird but I enjoy making music. Anyone else here play anything or enjoy making music?

My entire family is pretty musically talented. I myself was a beast at piano for a while, but then got bored and quit. Never bothered picking up anything else.
 
I play drums.....Drum set and percussion, plus almost every marching drum (snare, quads, and cymbals)...... I really want to learn the bass though. My sister plays bass.......
 
Been playing guitar {acoustic and electric} for about 6 years now. I also used to play drums and I like to play around with pianos and keyboards from time to time, too. I want to get some good recording gear and play around with Audacity {free mixing software}. I love making music. Always have and always will! :)
 
I wouldn't mind learning to play the guitar. The closest I come is MIDI but you don't need to know how to play a musical instrument to make MIDI.
 
My whole family is musical. I used to play a 12 string acoustical Ibanez many years ago. My wife is very good on the keyboard. When I first met her she was playing classical, Bach, Beetoven. I first heard her play at a recital, it was Moonlight Sonata. My daughter plays drums.

The thing with guitar hero and rock band is I don't think kids now a days will try and learn real instruments. That could be a problem. Not saying I don't like the games cause I love them :D

I wonder that, too. But then again maybe it's the opposite, maybe all these guitar/music games will make the youth want to play real instruments!....nah...they're too lazy :D
