Anyone going to pickup GUN for Xbox?

I saw a behind the scenes program on G4 TV about the making of GUN and it looks really nice! Anyone looking at getting this game?

Ok, and what does that have to do with this topic? If you're going to call people fools then at least give some kind of explanation as to why. Plus I didnt realize people arent allowed to buy games simply because there is a new system around the corner.

I agree, plus who is going to drop over $400.00 for this game and the 360 system? Most poeple who are looking at the 360 already have an Xbox. The choice is clear to me.

I am saying waiting for the new system would be a better choice in the end...So what if you can get some inferior, no longer supported games at a bargain? It is a dead end choice.

Also, the game isn't doing that great review-wise.

I still dont get you. What is wrong with buying games for any system, old or new? Every system is going to have it's life end. If you feel that the game sucks, fair enough. I just dont understand the logic of how since it's not on a new system it is a wrong choice to buy it.

It is on the 360. That is why, in my opinion, that getting this game isn't a very wise choice. Oh well, if someone wants to waste the money then its theirs to throw around...

Well see, thats different if it is on the 360. Like gamefan said not everyone is going to be able to afford a 360, so buying this game isnt a waste of money.

They didn't make any changes for the 360 version, though, except for graphics. Why pay $60 for a game on 360 where the only difference from the $50 XBOX version is prettier graphics? That's not worth $10 to me. I'd just get it on XBOX and use that $10 I saved towards something more worthwhile.

Yeah I'd buy it for the Xbox, and not the 360. I don't have $400 to throw down on a new system. So I'll buy the Xbox for cheap and Gun for cheap.
And if I am a fool for doing so, then oh well. I still buy games for all my old systems still. I guess that's foolish too...

Not at all. As long as you are enjoying the older games. What's the harm in that?

No harm at all. I was just making a point. I just find it funny that some people see that buying older games is foolishness. I left a forum once because the vast majority of members felt that once a console was discontinued that it was to be thrown away and the new one was to be purchased. And anyone who collected the older stuff was considered "garbage collectors."
As far as the game in question is concerned, I say who cares if there is an updated version in the works for the 360?? I hear that the graphics are the only thing that has been improved.

Too true. I see great games still coming out on DC all the time in Japan. I also see some great games out for the FM Towns Marty 2. Wish I had that system.

There is still software support for the DC in Japan?!?!?! Wow. I need to mod mine or get a Japanese DC then...

I plan on getting an imported DC. I think the latest games was Border Down. I know there is something else that came out after.

Was it really that hard to understand? I mean, I don't agree with him, but I get where he's coming from.

It would be like buying Counterstrike for the Xbox, instead of on PC. Sure it's "the same game", but on one platform the graphics, controls, support, and lifespan of the game are greatly enhanced. If you're gonna spend $50, you may as well spend an extra $10 and get your money's worth. It's like paying half the price to go see a movie, and only being able to watch 3/4's of it.

Oh I understood him, I just dont know why he went with that logic. The point I was making was that you still have to pay $400 for a new system just to play that game. When you can just buy it now for the xbox and have fun. Then when you do get a new xbox you can just trade it in. Not everyone is going to be able to afford or want a 360 or afford a high end PC that plays all the latest games. I'd rather pay for the console version. My other point was that no matter how old a system, there is nothing wrong with buying games for it. I still buy games for my PS1 and that is no longer being supported.
