Anyone see this article

I agree with creepin.

But yknow, why do kids happen to play games so much? Well, first of all, they arent all that harmful, they in fact can make people smarter, better puzzle solvers, and so on. And second, parents are usually not involved when a kid becomes "addicted" to games. It kinda aggrivates me about how the media is always saying that games are so bad and we need to stop making violent games and on and on. A murder occurs and they blame video games. What gives?

ok.... does ANYONE see a way to contact that person?

I've looked all over and I don't see an email address or contact form. Does anyone see one?
I am going to give them a quick contact.

well... it is healthy when moderated and limited.  BUT video games and media like that excercise a different part of the brain than reading and what not.

Also, IMO some kids get playing violent games too early but their parents let them.  It sort-of ticks me off.  This one 6 year old was playing Turok on the Xbox.  Another 4-5 year old was play Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.... I mean I know who the parents are.  I couldn't believe they would let their kids do that.

Kids are VERY impressionable.....  IMO it is a good idea to keep them innocent for as long as possible.  You cannot hide them from life.... but there is no reason to subject kids to things that will degrade their life.  They'll have that for a long time....  I just wish parents would be a little better for their kids and understand they shouldn't see violent games... and what-not

Videogames can become a crutch though. I mean, I've seen it happen to people I know. Their virtual lives are more important than their real ones. Hell, I've felt like that at certain times in my life. It is unhealthy, and can become a serious problem.

However, if people don't use videogames as a crutch then would find something else, like alcohol, or drugs, or gambling, or smoking, or...

I think they're just trying to get the message out that videogame playing can become an abnormal practice, and can be as serious as the aforementioned dependencies. They're just going about it the wrong way...

Normally I would agree but they dont really have anything to support their opinions and plus this is a church site. It seems they are trying to make it look like anybody and everybody can become an addict.

well... anyone and everyone can become an addict :)

I have no problem it is a church site... but I don't want them representing this site in a bad manner. I run a very respectible store.
On top of that, I am a church going Christian :lol (not that it has anything to do here... but I don't want another church site misunderstanding the scope of this site).
