I'm thinking about getting a PSP i don't know. all i can hear is PSP ROCKS!!!!! FTW over and over by two people on the forums. so i don't know....

Well it really depends on what you want your PSP to do, this might sound a little silly...but... There arn't alot of "great" games out for the psp yet there are good games but not great. I think better games will be released later on for the psp tho such as GTA. But if you want it for a Multimedia center as in playing music, movies, videos, homebrew stuff and games than the PSP is great for you but if you more just want to play games you might want to take a closer look at the DS instead. But in any case I think the PSP is a wonderfull machine and for me I have a 1 gb memory card for it's always being filled with new music, movies, tv shows, homebrew etc.

I love my PSP, which is mostly used for gaming. Granted, I can go for weeks without playing it, but same goes for all games. It gets to the point that with working and all, I only have a bit of time for games, which is spent on Halo 2 as it's the easiest game I've found to actually play multiplayer with friends online (which is why I think "partying" should be a requirement in all Live games from now on).

Has anybody heard aything about the new upates that a rumored to be coming out soon. Ive heard they include an internet browser, a more fuctional keyboard, .wav video playback alwell as the mpeg4. and downloadable TV programs.
                                                                                                                                                                  I cant wait!!!

I think the games are just starting to get really good. I have been playing Coded Arms for two weeks straight and I love it. I think it's the perfect portable shooter. Anyone else playing? Played multiplayer? So sweet.

It already plays MPEG 4. All the UMV movies are coded in that. I believe the updates came out already. I haven heard about the keyboard though.

I've tried that game, its pretty good, except the controls are next to impossible to master. You aim with the nub and move with the dpad, making it next to impossible to move and shoot and the same time.

Yeah, see, that's the thing, it's a PORTABLE game. I think people are a little spoiled and not used to playing a shooter single stick. It did take me about four hours to master the controls, to "relearn" how to play that way, but after they became totally transparent. You can map the controls any way you want, too.

Reminds me of the Nintendo 64....

You should try (if you can) Thumbstick Up and Down is move, Thumbstick Left and Right is Look/Turn, while the top and bottom buttons are for Looking Up and Down. Left and Right buttons are for strafing. It sounds weird, but that was the N64 FPS default.
