April 2008 Software Sales

1. Grand Theft Auto IV (360) -- 1,850,000
2. Mario Kart Wii (Wii) -- 1,120,000
3. Grand Theft Auto IV (PS3) -- 1,000,000
4. Wii Play (Wii) -- 360,000
5. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii) -- 326,000
6. Gran Turismo 5: Prologue (PS3) -- 224,000
7. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness (DS) -- 202,000
8. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time (DS) -- 202,000
9. Guitar Hero III (Wii) -- 152,000
10. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (360) -- 141,000
 
Pokemon is like the Final Fantasy of Nintendo. It doesn't matter which one it is. It's so popular it will sell anyway.

GTA IV has pretty much every game beat now, especially now that it holds the record for the fastest selling game in 24 hours.
 
biggest suprise is that most of those are wii games and that GTAIV for 360 is winning over the ps3 version (T_T i kinda wanted that it were the other way around)
 
Yeah, Nintendo has 60% of the games up there, and four are Wii games.
 
You kinda have to. It might suck and just be a remote, but it's no less of a game.
 
I guess so, since people don't want to put them together even though there's just mild changes.

Yeah but, at the same time, it's somewhat cheap to consider them separate games because they're...well, almost the exact same thing.
 
It counts Grand Theft Auto IV for both consoles as two games and they are the same thing.

I've never liked them doing that either. I would prefer cross-console games to have just one sales figure (and then maybe how much it sold on each console in parenthesis or something).
