as an Xbox 360 owner...my first Playsation 3 experience....

And why is that? By the time we get the feature where we can send VC games to each other, I'll have a job and be sending several people games.

But it's not, remember. I got my 360 back in October, and I've rented several things for it, along with playing through the Halo campaign and trying to beat it on Legendary, and I got my new VC stuff a week ago.

It's like a first child. They get special treatment. You can relate it in that fashion to video game systems. I love the Genesis more than the SNES because the Genesis was my first system.

I got my PS2's before my GCN(at least one of them), but I played the GCN more.

Of course, it could be it'stheoneinmyroomitis.

Nah, I just have constant access to it, and a larger library. At the moment, I can play nine games without changing discs, that's useful. So is being able to connect to Wi-Fi.

My 360 can sit and wait a few days until Viva Pinata comes, then I'll sit playing that.

All I can play is VC games, I can't make progress on Prime 3 and that's the only game I've bought for it. I only rented Mario and I sent that back to try out Viva Pinata. I don't buy a whole ton of games, so I can't just play some game on a whim, I either have to buy it(ones I really want to buy, like Brawl and Prime 3), or wait for it to come in the mail. In the meantime, I have these cheap, but awesome, old school games I can play without even needing a disc.

Lol well I guess in your situation, that's all you really can do. The 360 has alot of good games available for download, as the PS3 does too. They all have their advantages. :)

Mhm, of course, and I could get tons of Live games for free.

Of course, I'd have to be able to connect to Live first. >_> Big problem right there.

You can't get any VC games for free.

And the guessing the number trick doesn't work...and if it does, you're screwed. :lol

I know, but getting XBLA games for free is a lot easier.

Guessing the number, I've gotten about seven that worked...in another country.

Nintendo could find out they haven't sold that Card and proceed to block your ass from online usage.

Exactly. Plus, no Googling credit card numbers to buy Wii Points, either, they have high security for those.

i disagree

i believe the ps3 definitly has some solid titles, as does the 360s. but these two consoles both offer the same type of experience, so you only really need one. If you have a ps3 or xbox 360, along with a wii, you should be set for this generation
depends... a lot of shooters on the Xbox have been getting the better ratings... not just marginally either. I think Rainbow Six Vegas was a good comparison to this.

I don't think the developers are doing real well for the PS3 right now. On the contrary... developers are doing pretty good for the 360... BUT the Ps3 is starting to come around from it's slow launch... and really, the current price is NOT BAD AT ALL for containing a Blue Ray player. Even though the price isn't bad, I still say $500 + for a video game console is too much... the 360 costs more than that if you add on the HD DVD player.

I hate to say it... but free online with the Ps3, the slicker menu (IMO), and a few other features do make it tempting... and look better than the 360. Once you get to the game department... the Ps3 just doesn't compare at this time. Like I said though, it is gaining speed.

lol, I personally will just take all three. Having only two, you'll still be missing out on quite a few great exclusives, no matter which two consoles you have, which is why I'm gonna try to get a PS3 for my birthday next year.

QFT! That's why I plan on getting a PS3 at some point, too.

@blu

i tend to factor out the features when buying a console. I dont buy a game console to watch movies, i buy it to play great games. which the ps3 just doesnt have in my opinion.

Plus, you don't even need a Blu-Ray player now. Hell, most people are still on standard. Companies will switch over to HD/Blu-Ray when enough people have so they can still make profit, as opposed to leaving most of their viewers/buyers in the dust now, and when will enough people switch over? When it's cheap. Not many people want to spend $600 for a bit better quality.
