The Sci-Fi setting plays a huge role in the continuation of the medieval setting's story later in the game ;)

Meh, maybe you're right, but I think I would still rather have the setting be purely based in the Crusades, without the Sci-fi. The Crusades is a really interesting time in history, but it's been relatively ignored by games (maybe because of religious sensitivity?), and I thought Assassin's Creed would change that, but alas, you're sitting in some virtual reality thing for the length of the game.
 
Okay, okay, I get it. I should play through the game before I judge the setting, and you're right about that.

But these were my first impressions. They may very well change over the course of the game, as you seem to be suggesting. ;)

But later on in the game you skip to next memory as often.
 
Bah, this game is so repetitive now. I beat it but for reasons that would take too long to explain, I lost all the achievements. ANd now im doing it again. Yep, evesdropping to the same 100 people, saving the same 100 people from guards, climbing the same 1000000 towers... ugh.
