List your ancestors of note here.

I found out the other day that I am related to John Hancock, but the more noteworthy William Wallace, the hero of Scotland who lived about 700 years ago. The main character in Mel Gibson's Braveheart is basted on him.

I'm related to nobody famous. My great grandfather on my mom's side was some high ranking guy in the Canadian Royal Navy. I did my own research because my nana never talked about her life in Canada (Her mom was French, and dad was English. Bad mix I guess).

Many people are related to significant historical figures if you can trace it back far enough.

Nobody famous as far as I know, except some painter in Missouri.

Supposedly one out of every ten of us will have descended from Gengis Khan, or so I'm told.

I'm not too sure about my ancestry spanning back hundreds of years, but I know my grandma (who is still alive today) actually lived in Poland during the first and second world war. I have heard many stories of how they hid from the Nazis, and the Russians, which are incredibly interesting. I think my grandpa who isn't alive today but did survive the war was actually a Russian prisoner for some time. He had some crazy stories to tell...

Only ancestor I know of is someone known as "The Bad Pope", or something like that. Basically, a bad Pope that shared my last name from way back when.

One of my ancestors was a general in the civil war {for the North}. His sword that he left behind has caused much turmoil amongst my family {darn thing is cursed}. Supposedly the sword is worth a mighty fine amount, so my greedy relatives are all fighting for possession of it. My Father and his Dad actually no longer speak to each other, all because of this darned sword!

The only one i have is Yogi Berra

Hall of Fame catcher for the Yankees, and I'm a Red Sox fan  :lol

my grandmother told me i was related to john wilkes booth, yes the one that killed lincoln. also, his brother was a famous actor (well not really famous, he was in plays)
