Best RPG on the PS1 or PS2

...And Thy Will Be Done
I am just wondering what you guys think is the best RPG's for both of the Playstation systems. My top 3 for PS1 is FF7, FF8, Xenogears and Star Ocean fit in there somewhere too! I'm not really sure about the PS2 probably just FFX

Heh. Everyone knows my top choice. :D

For the PS1, Legend of Dragoon. It's my all time favorite game.

For the PS2, FFX. Awesome music, awesome story, and awesome gameplay.

phhht Kingdom Hearts guhdur!
Possibly one of the best RPGs ever right after FFVIII and FFVI.
FFVII was good too, it had Sephiroth...mmmm Sephy xD
I also like Chrono Cross, that was really fun, too.

I don't like ann Final Fantasy after VIII though, especially X, oh how I dislike that game. Don't ask me why, I just can;t stand playing it. It's one of those things, ya'know?

What is Xenosaga like? I've been looking at purchasing a copy.

Xenosaga is like FFX in space. Go to Xenosaga.com and see all the reviews of it beating FFX from all the magazines. :D

If you lived near me, I'd definitely let you borrow it till you beat it. I think I went a good 80 hours into it. :D

Go out and buy this incredible game. Read my review on it if you want more information (I forgot where you'd find it) or just PM me. :)

Best rpg or favorite rpg? Big difference, I think.

I don't know if there is a best rpg, but my favorite for PS2 is definitely FFX. I just love the Sphere Grid. And I'm totally addicted to Blitzball now, too. I wish you could switch out characters midbattle in all of the rpgs. That would make strategizing way more fun!

This is so cliche but my favorite PSone rpg is probably FFVII. But the Lunar games come really close, especially Lunar 2.

Maybe you didn't put enough hours into X? When I first played it, my first impressions weren't good...I thought it was a huge downfall in the series. But then around 6-10 hours of playing, I got really into it, and it's one of my favourites games of all time to this day.

Same thing happened with Kingdom Hearts. I couldn't stand it the first time, and even sold it. Bought it again a few years later because my friend nagged me to give it another chance, and it took until the Hercules stage, but I fell in love with it eventually.
