Best Tom Clancy Game?

I am looking to purchase one of the Tom Clancy games...to keep me busy during the summer! I was just wondering which one I should get. I really enjoy the single person stealth games like the Metal Gears, but I'm increasingly interested in the squad based combat as well! What do you guys think?
 
I would get Splinter Cell chaos theory. Since you are into stealth. If you want more squad based action I would get anything in the Ghost Recon seris.
 
I think Ghost Recon by far! I never got into Splinter Cell it wasn't my thing.I just like the atmosphere of the squad based thing
 
Same here. I never got into any of the Tom Clancy games. I havent even tried them, I just know its not my type of game.

Its nothing but a Metal Gear knock off.

I only played Splinter Cell and the 1st Rainbow Six.
 
Splinter Cell is pretty much Ubisoft trying to cash in on the Metal Gear stealth thing. the new Ghost Recon for the 360 is good though... but I would skip all the ones on PS2, they never were very good.
 
Splinter Cell's gameplay is so much differnt than MGS so it is not a cash in....Tom Clancy actually writes stealh based stories, there was a Splinter Cell book but it was not actually written by Clancy, it is a real novel and not a videogame book.
