Beware: Zelda TP Bug

Found this on another forum and it looks legit. Apparently if you save at a certain spot then you can lose your save and would have to start over if you don't have a back-up save. Just thought I would share this with all the TP owners.

Oh yeah and to keep this topic from even becoming an anti/pro-Nintendo thread, keep in mind that every game has a bug and Im pretty certain that Nintendo is not immune to this kind. So please, keep this thread peaceful.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, don't save near the cannon.

True that. :)

Yikes. Well I have noooo idea where that is, cuz I'm not even remotely that far yet. It's always a good idea to rotate through the save slots so that you have a backup anyway.

In the FF games on Super Nintendo we used to save to two slots or save two times in a row to make sure ;-)

I still do that. I actually started doing that back with FF7, what's funny is that the reason I save like this is because there are times where I feel I can do better (IE. Use less ammo, get all the items, speed run, etc.)

So wait, can you save whenever and wherever you want in this game?

Ever played Zelda?

Yeah, but it doesn't work like, say, Lunar's every-where-save-'feature'. It will reset you to the beginning of an area, but not necessarily without things done.. It just depends on the situation in which you save.

Yeah, but I don't remember. It was a while ago. So that's good though, cause if you could save anywhere, I think it'd be kinda cheap. Like in the Sonic collection, I beat the whole last set of bosses with no coins by hitting them, saving, etc.

Sounds a little like Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. Of course, that one was a glitch that was determined at the beginning of the game, didn't matter when or where or how many times you saved. And you only found out if you had the glitch near the end of the game. If you do, you have to start all over again.

Ok, so maybe this one isn't so bad, but it's still a bummer. Do you suppose they could go back in and fix it before producing more? Or do they just say "Tough luck, just avoid it"?

:lol I forgot, I did that at YOUR house. That's when we pulled an all-nighter playing that one game. :D

Idk if they even saw this coming, I doubt it though. Nintendo wouldn't intentionally screw people over with it.

They can but it wouldn't be cost effective to do it. When stuff like this happens, IF the developers have actually been able to fix the bug, then they usually do it when it gets re-released (IE Greatest Hits, Special Edition etc.)
