Bioshock discussion topic

This game will be AMAZING!!!! I wonder how nice the critics will be to it. :lol Probably 10/10 from what i'm hearing.
 
I downloaded it, but I'm procrastinating on playing it. I know it's going to be so awesome that I'm going to want to buy it, and I just don't have the extra money for it. :nope Another one to go on the Christmas list.
 
I just finished it...wow...I don't think I've ever played a game that made me feel so immersed in the game. Thank god I have a birthday in September. I'm definitely getting this game....

Bioshock seems like it definitely has a GOTY chance, and a really, really good one, at that...

I feel your pain, I can't afford many other titles I want badly.

I just finished the demo and I am extremely wowed and amazed by one of the most finest pieces of work to this decade.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here...but to describe BioShock, I would say.....2D is to Odin Sphere/CastleVania SOTN....as to...3D is to BioShock/Virtua Fighter or Tekken 5/Final Fantasy 12/Silent Hill 2 or 4

the storyline especially thrills me...it's like HG Wells himself wrote this and I've never been so sure about anything, up until now.

I could not possibly agree more (cept with some of the games you compared it with). The city, the atmosphere, the enemies...everything is just perfect. Not only that, but its probably one of the most haunting games I've ever played. Hearing that little sister singing is still creeping me out, lol.

No one knows a lot of details about the story yet, but what was shown in the demo left me wanting to know more.

i started downloading it again. i started 20-30 minutes ago and its still at 5%

i wont complain, i hear its worth it. ill just let it run all night

Well then what big thing would be left for the game? You don't want to be able to fight the biggest enemy in the game (basically) within the first half hour of playing (which was what the demo was...). Plus, the demo was just the whet your appetite, not deliver the entire game...

Yeah, but there's going to be plenty of Big Daddies and Little Sisters in the game. Throwing in a fight with one of them was something I was hoping for as well.
 
Then again, I've always thought the horror-shooter genre games are really stupid... They're just not fun to me.. at all. And I think the whole super-dna-modification-power thing is dumb...

Hines - Don't let my opinion sway you, I've never cared for these types of games anyways...

I suppose they could have put it in, but I liked the fact that there were no Big Daddies. It gave me something big to look forward to for the game.
