Ever wish you could get your revenge on the car that just sped past you during a race?
Well, now you can, because Activision is putting the finishing touches on their new game, "Blur".

Blur is an innovative racing game with sleek graphics and a system that will let you wreak havoc on the road.
You will have access to 8* powerups that are available by driving into them on the track:

* Mine, which does what it's name implies; allows it's user to plant a large road-mine on the ground, just waiting for another racer to make a bad judgment call.
* Shunt, which sends out a large homing-like missile which launches your enemies into the air, sending them off course.
* Nitro, which gives users a quick, but major, boost of speed.
* Bolt, which gives users 3 balls of energy to shoot out at their enemies either in front of, or behind them. (They shoot one at a time) Aim well!
* Barge, which sends out a shockwave of energy in all directions around you which annihilates any racers nearby.
* Shock, which creates an array of blue-plasma-like streaks on the track to slow down your enemies as they drive into them.
* Shield, which, obviously, shields you from potentially-devastating powerups.
* Repair, which literally repairs your car for you.

You can hold up to 3 powerups at once, and toggle between which one you would like to use. You can also get rid of a selected powerup if you see a more suitable one coming up.

Now, as you may have already assumed, your car has a health bar. If it takes too much damage from powerups, or simply from being knocked around too much by fellow drivers, your car will "die" for a couple seconds as a penalty, but then you will be placed right back on the track afterward. Using Repair obviously saves you from this fate, a little longer.
