books

the last really good book I read was Blackwood Manor (I think thats the name) by Anne rice


she is my favorite author.
 
yeah she is good.....i loath the homosexual parts of her books...that has not stoped me from reading the entire vampire chronicles series though
 
yeah that is the only part about her writing I dont like but its worth putting up with to read the rest of the book.
 
Anne Rice, eh? I've never read any of her books. Right now I'm reading The Bad Place by Dean Koontz. He's my favorite author.
 
I read a few "Dune" books over the summer. Right now, I have to read to John Grisham novels of my choice, "The Client", and "The Runaway Jury".

Both aren't half bad.
 
Well i finished"The Silmarilian"....i read it slowly.now i am about to finish"The Hobbit"...Then on to the LOTR trilogy!I have read them all multiple times,so i allready know what happens :)

I couldn't get through the Silmarillion. Some stuff was cool, but there were so many names and places, ugh, I just drowned in the detail. Morgoth was definitely the coolest dude that ever lived in middle earth though.  :lol

I've got like three books on the go right now, but the two main ones are The Illiad and Don Quixote. Both are really good but I just know there's more to what I'm reading than what I'm understanding, and its kind of annoying to miss all the metaphor and allegories.  :lol
 
Currently trying to swallow Dante's Inferno. Then I'm going to get Paradise Lost, and maybe Purgatorio and Paradiso. Epic poems are the only good books anyways...I'm going to finish the Iliad and The Odyssesy too.
