Apparently, a 14 year-old North Carolina boy was almost killed trying to keep his Xbox 360 from overheating. According to local news, the boy’s mother found her son unconscious after he attempted to submerge the console in a pan of water. “When I left to go next door he was playing a game but when I got back he was laying on his back on the floor and unconscious,” she said. The console, wrapped in plastic and tape, was still plugged in. The kid has read online that he could keep his 360 from over heating by cooling its power supply. By the time the ambulance showed up, the boy had regained consciousness. Thankfully, when the ambulance arrived, the boy had regained his senses. He was rushed to a nearby hospital and suffered small burns on his hand and foot.

That was on August 22 http://www.sgfrag.net/

What an idiot... I know I wasn't that ignorant when I was 14...

Oh my god, my console's going to light on fire! Let's soak it in water! [/smart]

Electric device+water=electric shock??? OH MY GOD THAT JUST DEFIES LOGIC!!!! :P

Is this kid's IQ like 30 or something?

No. It's the water in this great state. People out here injure themselves in the most mind boggling ways. My next door neighbor is a few French fries short of a happy meal now because he, out of fear that someone would get hurt on it, pulled down a deer stand from a tree. But the stand landed on him instead. A guy I work with decided one day to jump his four wheeler without a helmet on. Major hurt. I have seen people forget how to merge into traffic here, and cause road closures because they took out five or six cars. Drunk people dive into Falls lake or Jordan lake and their bodies are found days later.

Now, I'm not saying that people back home don't do stupid things, they just don't do things in spectacular ways like here.

I don't beleive I've heard of a dumber kid? Geeze, where the heck does he learn about mixing something with somethng else?

Electricity and Water is pretty much on the top list when it comes to things you shouldn't put together!

And mai, I wouldn't be surrpised if they did try to sue. Sounds like the kinda of stupid thing a parent would do just to make it seem like their son wasn't a total moron.
