Burnout 3 is it coming to the cube?

I agree with what you're saying, Blue. Nintendo's first party games like Super Mario Sunshine and Wind Waker use the colour scheme to it's full potential. And yes Xbox and especially PS2 can look too murky. But I don't think Gamecube is in the same leauge, graphics wise, as Xbox. Gamecube just have people behind it that want to put more effort into how their games look. Trust me, it may be close...but Xbox can produce better looking graphics.

I am not sure if I Will agree with this fully.

There are too many specs involved..... the gamecube graphics can do things the xbox cannot, and vice verca.

so.... still no info on this coming to the Cube?

All I see is Xbox and Ps2 trailers..... this better hit the cube.... or I am going to be one ticked off guy.

Ok, well, I know my friend does have a better TV than I do, just in sheer lines of resolution, but I didn't think it was that dramatic a change. I'll test it out sometime when I go over to his house and see for myself. It just looked so much better it was hard to believe that his TV was just that good.

please do check it out..

I think its a brain thing because you are playing on an Xbox :lol j/k

anyway... all the reviews I have read say the games on all 3 systems are identical down to their graphical flaws..textures...etc.

I can't answer for BV, but I'm coping by getting it for the XBOX. :p

The advantage of having multiple systems is that I don't miss out on great games. :D

Well, I still haven't tested it out, forgetful me, but I did borrow a different friend's Xbox so I could play Full Spectrum Warrior, and I did play that on his better TV, and there was no noticeable change there at all. I'm pretty sure the Xbox version had better graphics while the PS2 and GC version were identical.

No... the Xbox version of B1 or B2 did NOT have the better graphics.
I can tell you that for sure.

But no word on B3 for the Gamecube yet.

yeah... my suppliers are saying the same thing.

*edited my comments about EA*

I wonder if they have it in works for the future? IE B2 came out for the Gamecube and Xbox much later than the Ps2.

IF not... I will re-insert my comments about EA.

B2 is great :)

so far... B3 doesn't seems to be hitting the Gamecube.... it better be though... or they are getting a letter from me.

I'm a little ticked off that EA of all people decided not to bring it to the GC and I'm wondering they they never. Bad sales with the first two, perhaps?

Anyway, I dislike certain things about B3 and I prefer the second tbh. Which is good, 'cause that means less disappointment.

Ah, I might as well have a mini-rant about what it is I don't like. It's the Burnout system - it's not balanced towards being skillfull much. Powerslides and near-misses aren't given enough credit (with Nitrous), with crashing into other racers being rewarded too much. Is this supposed to be a racing game or what? Last time I checked, in racing games the point was to avoid crashing.
Also, the handling of the game seems to be not responsive enough given the speed of the game.

Those are my gripes, but mostly everything else is better. More cars, improved Crash mode, more tracks...all good.

yeah.... they should have brought it to the Gamecube.  I am telling you, if they expected better sales... they should have released the Cube version around the same time as the PS2 version, not 1 year later.

but besides that.... The Gamecube and Xbox versions of Burnout 2 sold very close in #.... and I think Gamecube's was ahead if I am right.  But it was low numbers for both anyway (IMO attributed to the 1 year later release). On top of that... there weren't many improvements.... and the graphics were basically the same as the Ps2's with the jaggies...etc.

Did Sony not have one of those limited exclusivity agreements?

And if the GC version sold around the same as the Xbox version, then why release it on Xbox? The only answer that springs to mind is that EA thought it would sell well on Xbox because of Xbox Live. Other than that, there was no excuse for not!

it had to be something about "online play" I am sure.

But still ... there is no excuse for not releasing this game on the Gamecube.
