Buying a PS3.

I thought that wasn't getting very good reviews? It looks just like a God Of War rip-off to me. If I got a PS3, I'd wait for KIllzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Resident Evil 5. My brother'll probably get those three anyway.

Honestly, there's not much I want. Oblivion would be good to get, but I've got that on the 360. I'm sure there's a few gems, but I can't think of what they are. I may repost later.
 
yea im not too impressed with the lineup now... heck im not too impressed with the future lineup, but i think they will pull it off when devs figure it out... then i will strike!
 
The argument over the line-up is weak. It's Sony. If you liked the PS2, just wait until the PS3 gets up to speed on games. It took the PS2 a little while to start pumping out games as well. Remember.

Why is it weak? If a games console doesn't have a number and variety of good games, it's kind of pointless.
 
So you're talking about every system ever created. Keep in mind the PS3 is still in its first year. The 360 had a bad line up for its first year. The Wii still has a bad line up in its first year. The PS2 even had the same problem. Bringing up the fact that a system doesn't have a good line up in its first year is just a tired argument.

Yes, that's why I don't purchase a system until it has a half-decent line-up. I don't think it matters when it is, if a system has a poor games selection there is little point in buying one. There's a good reason that the argument is used a lot, because it's a valid one."It's early on" is not an excuse, because it still has a poor line up with little prospect of a radical change EDIT any time soon. Sorry, I didn't word that very well.

people said that about the Cube though too... and some people will argue it had good games but the mass majority look back and say "Wth was that?"

it's possible, it's ignorant to say that the ps3 WILL have good games, especially if devs cant get used to it. we dont know. so everybody settle down and wait

Console wars are stupid.

It's hard when you're a PS3 fan because everyone wants to hate on it. Even on PS3 forums. -_- People say, "Oh, just ignore me," or "Just ignore negative posts." Well, frankly I'd like to. However, you can't go to any PS3 forums without seeing it, and why would I go to XBOX 360 or Wii forums to talk about PS3?

It's one thing to not like a system, but it doesn't need to come up in every single thread on this forum.

I was just pointing out that there have been times in history, where systems, with great predecessors have had very few games. I don't expect this to happen with the PS3, but it isn't that outlandish or impossible...

dude, from all these posts you make, i have come to the conclusion that your gaming knowledge is minuscule. the saturn didnt fail for lack of good games, it failed because it was released at the comepletely wrong time.

Oh, I wasn't talking to you Cherry. :) I was agreeing with Auron, that people should settle down and wait. It's only the first year of the PS3 being out, and if it's anything like the PS2, the best games won't come out until later in the console's life cycle.

Saturn games were incredibly scarce. There was the Panzer Dragoon games, NiGHTS, and a couple other games

The Saturn failed because it was $400, Sega really screwed up the launch, as you said, and good games were a rarity.

Now, stop making stupid insults at me.
