Can't find a Wii for the Holidays?

According to comments made by Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime during a conference call with the press today (like, right now), GameStop will be offering Wii "rain check" certificates for purchase on December 20th and 21st ... while supplies last. (Yes, supplies of the paper slip). The certificate, which requires that a Wii be pre-purchased in full, guarantees a console in January, so long as it's picked up by Jan 29th. Geez, promises sure are expensive these days...

Wow, that's pretty good. Granted, the console will come the month after Christmas, but it's better than waiting for next year's Holiday rage.

And of course, the slips will outnumber the consoles through that time considerably.

Well there's going to be a limited amount of slips...but I agree. The amount that they do have will be more than what Nintendo can muster up.

w00t! My friend called me this morning and managed to find one at Best Buy. Sitting in my closet now, I'm waiting until after Christmas to open it. Guess I need to write a hefty check out in his name, eh? :D

So happy I finally got one!

Oh, I already have a huge list of what I'd like to get. Super Mario Galaxy is definitely on the top, followed by Zelda. Super Paper Mario looks good as well.

Haha, I managed to compile a huge list of games that I'd either like, or would be interested in renting. It's only about 20 long or so, not too bad :p

I had Zelda TP when I had my first Wii...I never could bring myself to get into it. I sold it after a couple dungeons. It just bored me to death. I have Zack and Wiki though...THAT was a game done right.

Haha, amusingly enough, I managed to get two Wiis for Christmas. The one from my brother, and then unknown to the rest of us, my mom got a Wii and a bunch of games and stuff for my dad, brother and I.
