Well I just finished reading this book. I have read it twice so far. It truly is my favorite book I have ever read so far. I was just wondering who else has read it, and if anyone wants to discuss the book.
 
I've read it once, and now that you brought it up, I think it's about time I read through a second time.

I had to read it for my English class but I ended up liking it so much that I bought it off of my teacher. :lol
 
I had to read that book this year for English.

I almost paid my teacher to take it away.

I simply loathe this book with every fiber of my being.
It's not a bad book just.....

So hypocritical. So emo. So yuck.

It's right up there with Huckleberry Finn on the "Books I was forced to read and now have a grudge against" book list.

Yeck.
 
That's what my teacher said. At first I was like hey this guy is kinda cool.....than i read the rest of the book. I know it's an important book about something or another, and lots of people ahve read and something about it was on the guy that shot Lennon.

It's still just makes me angry.

Can any oen just clarify the message of that book for me?
 
Well its like a struggle of growing up and maturing. He sees the whole world and the people around him as being "phony"
 
judging by your name I guess you took offense. I'm sorry for this, I just find the whole thing kind of silly.

We are all entititled to our opinions and emo being silly is mine.

Anywhom. If that's what the book was about it's really hypocritical because he was one of the phoniest people in the book with all his lies and what not, but thanks for filling me on what it was suposed to get across. ^_^
 
I've read it, but it was sooooo long ago I don't think I could even begin discussing it. That means I need to read it again. :D
 
I don't mean emo is bad, it's just not my style. I do think you guys dress cool....and emo guys are hot hee hee hee

yeah I think it does mean emotional or something like that....
