Chris Benoit dies (WWE)

That's funny because they posted it Monday afternoon that it was a double-murder and a suicide. I guess Vince does not use the internet!

Yeah, it was either during or after the show he was hosting that they said that.

Yes and the thing probably wasn't even broadcasted live. Even if he did here about how he killed his wife and child before the shwow was taped, which is incredily unlikely, he wouldn't have had enough time to change anything. They had been working on the show for days and they can't just change around the programming and filll a 3 hour block of television in a few hours...

Vince McMahon has issued a public appology for airing the tribute show. Also, WWE.com have erased all traces of Chris Benoit's name.

Well, you would think someone in the WWE Office would have seen it. It was announced Monday early afternoon EST and by 10 pm EST, they stated what had happened. I am just glad they are taking care of it at least!

Quoted from ESPN:

The WWE, based in Stamford, Conn., issued a news release Tuesday saying steroids "were not and could not be related to the cause of death" and that the findings indicate "deliberation, not rage." It also added that Benoit tested negative April 10, the last time he was tested for drugs.

Also Wednesday, Benoit's personal physician said the wrestler did not give any indication he was troubled when he met with the doctor hours before the start of the weekend.

It was initially labelled as a "triple homicide," although afterwards when they said it was a double murder suicide, they also stated Benoit hung himself (I'm 99% sure he was hung). I wonder why it wasn't initially dubbed a suicide...

In any case, I honestly have a hard time believing this. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but after watching part of the tribute show, and watching an interview of Bret Hart after it had been correctly dubbed a double murder suicide, I just can't believe it. It's really too bad, because up until one moment of incredible and sudden insanity, he was really on top of the world.

can we drop this thread already? i dont enjoy discussing dirtbags >:(

Yeah, but then again, maybe the thread should stay up just so any visitors who check it know exactly what happened.

He could have been suffering from depression do to any of several unknown factors it doesn't really matter he if it was depression, riod rage , bipolar disorder, or whatever it was the man still endup being a pathtic little weasel that killed his own family.

Okay, just to make this even more sick, now I find out Benoit's son who he killed was mentally disabled. I don't care whether he had Roid Rage or not. Killing your wife and 7 year old disabled child is one of the sickest things I have ever heard in my life. >:(

It doesn't matter if it was roid rage or not. I never made excuses people. :lol

That's still really messed up. Just more details I wish I hadn't known.

Actually, the Roid Rage thing wasn't directed at you, but whatever...

It really surprised me that he killed his son, despite a disability. This story just gets sicker and sicker...

Yeah I posted it but I guess nobody saw it...

That is incredibly sick...

Crazy news. According to Wikipedia, someone from Stamford, Conneticut posted on Benoit's Wikipedia page that he wasn't going to attend the WWE "show" due to the death of his wife 14 hours and 29 minutes before police discovered the bodies. Oddly enough, Stamford is also the location of the WWE headquarters.
