Contra 4 Discussion

Another awesome title I'm eagerly anticipating. This is the reason I'm actually going to pick up another DS. I sold my first one because nothing interested me.
 
It was #6 in Nintendo Power's top 10 from E3.

First the bad news: the four-player mode shown in early screenshots of Contra 4 was nowhere to be seen at E3, and the word is that it probably won't be part of the final game. The good news, however, is that the game is still shaping up to be incredible with just two players. The intense action is nonstop, and newly revealed stages like the alien lair look absolutely wicked. An old-school feel combined with new features such as a grappling hook should satiate all Contra fans.

I hope the two player can be with one cart.

Two player co-op is in the game. I can't wait. Winter of '07 is the release date!!
 
Contra is one of the best games ever. I love the Contra that I played for the very first time in arcade with all sorts of awesome games. People really would line up to watch me play because I was literally the best in town. :lol
 
I agree about the original, and I really am looking forward to Contra 4. Mai needs a new DS.... Man, 4-player would be completely awesome though, wouldn't it?
 
I saw this at best buy today... it looks cool. Did anyone pick it up?

If so, what are your thoughts?

I was soooo tempted seeing that they put back the stages where you head towards the walls :lol Now... only if they made sure to include some of the original contra music!
