Convince me to get this instead of the PS3

Of course, but I was refering to the game developers. As long as a game sells, it doesn't matter who made it. Those who did make it on other hand only have that game, and want it to sell as much as possible. This means they need to have great looks, great sound, great gameplay and all that, and this again cost a lot of money so they need to sell even more games.

Or to make it clearer. Someone made a game called Need for Speed: Underground 2. Someone else made a game called Midnight Club 3. The people who made who made NFS:U2 wants NFS:U2 to sell, and .the people who made MC3 want MC3 to sell. Sony don't care which one of those games sells the most, as they get paid either way.
 
Im pretty sure they would care because of what I said earlier. And im sure that other game developers will care to see what game sells big so they can see what it is about them that make them so popular, because the goal of every developer is to ultimately sell as many games as they can. I agree with you about it costing money to make money.

The XBOX 360 actually is more powerful than the PS3.

X360 isn't technically backwards compatible. It's going to emulate some of the most popular Xbox games (Halo, Halo 2, etc.).

At least that's what has been going around.
 
The PS3 supports games all the way back to the PS1 and it has the highest numbers of exclusive games. (and sadly, the highest price). Why would x-box360 not be backwards compatible? They need it to attract new fans.

I tried, but I couldn't really find anything. I found one article about how Microsoft was going about doing backwards compatibility, but that could still be just for the "top-selling Xbox games" as they said at E3.

I'm not convinced that the Xbox 360 is going to be completely backwards compatible.

will there be a number of rpgs being released for revolution ? thats the question whether i will buy revolution or not.

I dunno, FFXI is coming out for the 360, but I heard Square Enix has shown much interest in the Revolution. Plus the old FF's will be available for download.

revolution should concentrate on making new rpgs instead of downloading old games. but the old ffs are had usually remakes on the playstation. ffxi, i not buying it, square enix better don't make any more online rpg games..
 
I doubt Nintendo is concentrating on downloading games. I just think since it is the only thing we know for sure it is the only thing anyone talks about. That doesn't necessarily mean it will be the main focus on the console.At least I hope it won't be the main focus of the console.
