in clone wars.... he seems to be good stating that there is a sith corrupting the senate..etc..etc.. which is why they are starting the rebellion.

BUT his sword is red, all the JEdi say he is corrupted by the dark side, and he attacks the Jedi non-stop.

Of course he dies in Ep 3.

BUT... was he actually good and he thought the Jedi were corrupt in following along with the senator...... OR was he becoming a sith as well? o

What is the story behind this guy
?

I thought he was becoming a Sith. As far as I understood it, he was Darth Sidious's apprentice. Therefore he was turning into a Sith.

ok.... I knew that..... but I thought they called him something other than Sidious at one point (no... not the emporer :lol)
meh.... man it can get confusing at times.

so dooku was bad all the time then.

(I can't believe I'm seriously discussing this) See, the way Dooku saw things, he figured he would have the position Darth Vader does in the 4th, 5th, and 6th movies. Unbeknownst to Dooku, Darth Sidious was just using him as a pawn so he could turn Anakin to the dark side.

I see. That makes sense.

I guess Dooku fooled me in the 2nd one when I went back and watched it again :lol

PS: its a download.

it is..... but what I want to know....

Do people actually try and act out the whole movie *like they showed towards the end of the clip* ?

seriously?

come on.... they actually do that. I mean... they aren't even acting that good. The one guy does look like Quigon (spelling) though :lol

That and that one Jedi guy who "takes the challenge" acts like he's all that :lol

And the Jedi wedding thing... I wonder if they are still together. the comments on the people hitting the plastic swords afterwards is HILARIOUS!

All the stuff that happened in the video does happen. Although for this latest release it wasnt as bad. I think because more people who arent as hardcore as them were there. Yeah I wonder if they are still together also. Im sure they are. And yes that one Jedi took himself a little too seriously.

Count Dooku was formerly a Jedi Knight, but left the order.

Yes, he does tell Obi-Wan that a Sith Lord is corrupting the senate, which is true. He tries to get Obi-Wan to side with him against the sith as well.

However, at the end of episode II (ironically, which I watched again last night), he meets with Darth Sidius (Chancellor Palpatine) and the Chancellor greets him as "Lord Tyranis", which is a Sith Lord name, and also links Dooku to being responsible for placing the order for the clone army originally.

You have to remember, the best lies are half-truths. Dooku tells Obi-Wan to join him against the sith when that would actually be the first step to having him turn against the Jedi, which would lead to bringing him to the dark side.

Interestingly enough, on the DVD release of Episode II, if you watch the deleted scenes, originally Dooku tried to convince Padme to turn against the senate. That scene was replaced with him tempting Obi-Wan instead.

Summary: Dooku = Darth Tyranis = Sith Lord and apprentice to Sidius.
