Does anyone know what this game is?  Is it going to be good?

I found some information:
Originally a wildly popular Flash game on the NewGrounds website (with art by SYNJ Industries, programming by NewGrounds founder Tom Fulp and music by LHM), the action-blaster with the manic yellow monster makes its way into the console realm. Still in blistering hand-drawn 2D, the next-gen version features vastly improved graphics and animation, a new soundtrack, new vehicles to take command of and even more frantic gameplay elements in this side-scrolling homage to greats like Contra and Metal Slug.

The closest thing to a demo that you can get is on Newgrounds. Alien Hominid is a game originally made by Tom Fulp, I believe. I'm not sure if he ever intended it to go console.

I just found some information on this game... odd.... read the description in the 1st post.... its definitely sounding somewhat cool...

I wonder what it will be rated.  Its retailing $30 supposively.  I might have to check this out!

In fact, I think its looking REALLY interesting...

Supposedly it's similar to Metal Slug, except harder. So much so that there are nearly infinite continues. I'm pretty interested in it. In fact, I had already posted about it in the general forum (it's hitting all three consoles eventually).

The XBOX version is coming out next year. I wonder if they are adding XBOX Live compatibility or something.

When I played the game at Newgrounds..I just found it hardcore. I can't even get off the first level. Hopefully it'll be a bit easier with a controller...maybe they will add some kind of difficulty level too.

I'm gonna buy it for sure, it's games like this that I might find hard to get if I want to play them at a later date. Plus, I always enjoy something a little different from the norm.

The screenshots of the console version make it look excellent, aesthetically.
 
I played the newgrounds version, I may pick it up at the local gamestop because it was only $14 dollars
 
Since I've always been a big fan of the Metal Slug series I'm gonna pick this one up (if I can find it used, that is). I've looked at a lot of videos of the gameplay and the pace is frantic which is good. The bosses look really great and the overall visual style of this title makes it a very appealing game to own. If you're into Viewtiful Joe then this game might be worth plunking down the cash for...

Its really fun but try playing the computer version like that, it's free but its just a cheap rip off! :D
 
Is anyone stil diggin this game?

... you know... I thought I had the Gamecube version, but if I did... I can't find it now.

Yeah. It's pretty addicting.

Interesting how it went from a simple flash game on Newgrounds to a full game on a console.
