DAVID COOK FTW

That is not likely as the ratings seem to indicate the counter thought, and it wouldnt matter as long as American Idol always stays number one. Why else would they have already limited shows featuring auditions and extended the hollywood ones by two additional episodes this year?

I must be the only person in the world who doesn't watch American Idol. I watched through about season three, then found it somewhat repetitive from then on. There's only so many times you can see someone make an *** of themselves on national television before it gets old.
You're not the only one. I only watch auditions though just laugh at the bad singers. XD

Do you even know how much lower the ratings become after auditions? Every year, the gap between auditions and finals is getting bigger.

Actually this year, another record was set for viewers post-tryouts.

I HATE watching the auditions, and don't know anybody that does.

lol because the people that send them in have the idea that you have to talk about "This is My Time" or or some other fantasy dream coming true and this is a lifetime chance. Just write a song with a different idea and send it in.
