I have it. I just got it, too. I played a round of the arcade with Kasumi and did ok until I got to the final guy. He was totally cheap and kicked my butt. But I'm not that good with Kasumi, so I need to try with another character. The only bad thing is that my favorite characters are Helena and Christie, and neither one of them is in DOAU.

Yeah I'm terrible with Kasumi, even in DOA4. I don't understand why she's so popular. She's not even the prettiest female character (IMO).
I'm playing through DOA 1. I want to play through that before I start on 2.

Anyways, I need some help. I cant figure out how to do holds. When Im in sparring mode and tell the opponent to throw a middle punch then I can do a hold. Only because I know its coming though.... I can never do holds in an actual fight. Also, I need to figure out a better way to hit people when they are down, I know what is says in the manual but for some reason it only works some of the time.

alright..well the best advice I have for holds...or counters...are waiting for a combo..when you're in the middle of a combo...press back and X (middle counter) repeatedly until either you counter them or the combo is over....if you're facing Hayabusha, his attacks are usually high..so use back+up and X
When an enemy is on the ground, press down and B or Y...depending on your character.

No offense intended, but DOA games are for pervs...
Except for graphics they aren't that great. Simple fighting game. MK blows it away in depth and cool factor.

No offense or anything, but not all the people that play them are pervs. I bought DOA cause it's the best fighting game out there. You think I like to sit there and watch polygons bounce around all day? The counter system is unique, and the graphics are beautiful.. I can understand you thinkin MK beats it cause that's YOUR opinion, but to make the accusation that the DOA games are for pervs?

Immature? Not hardly. I won't take it any further.
No doubt that they use the girls to help sell more games but if you actually play it you'll see that not only is the fighting system without equal but it's addictively fun. Nothing matches the grace and beauty of the DOA games. The only real weakness that the games have is that the story modes are kind of vague and can sometimes seem nonsensical. But I challenge you to find a more solid 3D fighter.
