It's my birthday soon, so i'll be able to go out on a limb and buy loads of blizzard games. Anyway, will the following games be able to play on dial-up without infinte amounts of lag? Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos, Diablo II, StarCraft (using XP), and Warcraft II BNE.

I know that people do play these games on Dialup but people are always complaining about lag. Im sure it will work but wont be as good as broadband.

If you're going to play games like that, ditch the dial-up and get a broadband connection.

No, you'll lag because everyone will have infinitely better connections. Dial-up wasn't meant for gaming, at least not for today's gaming.

So they WILL work, just not as quick as the broadband users.

I got a feeling that they will so slow that you wont be able to enjoy it.

I had dial-up for quite a while..........it can be ok sometimes, as long as as the games your in arent that big.........



i think for games like diablo 2, it wont lag very much at all, but if your playing with other people.......like if your trying to kill something and someone else is attacking the same thing, they may kill it first, but to you it will appear that its still living, and then you wont get as many points or whatever

Anything blizzard will lag, won't it?

I am not sure how people can stand dial up.... I could never go back.....
I don't know a single game anymore that won't lag .... I get lag even on Broad Band.

It not only depends on your connection, it depends on the hosting server as well... and how many hops there are in between your connection.

If I had to give up broadband I would give up multiplayer gaming period.
