That's right, a GOOD Digimon game.
I went out and got this a few days ago for about 40$. Well worth its price I can say that. I'll just put a board review here.
Graphics: 7/10.
The graphics aren't the grandest thing I've seen before, minus the ipening movie, which I believe was made by the same guys who made the Soul Caliber II Movie (ADX and Sofdec, right?) They aren't as smooth as most games of its days. But they're a hell of a lot better than Gauntlet Legends: Dark Legacy for the GCN. The levels are done nicely, but many character models seem a little blocky.
Sound: 9.5/10
This game has got to have the best music I've heard in a LONG time. A great job was done for all the music I've heard in this game. It lacks a little in sound effects, as I found the sounds made when your character gets hurt mildly annoying.
Controls: 8/10
The controls work fine in every situation, however, some attacks are hard to pull off when you need them the most, most notably if you get sorrounded by enemies. Jumping makes an appearance, which makes doging more helpful though.
Difficulty: 7 to 4/10
I give this a screwy score because it depends at what point you are in the game. Early on in the beginning, its damn near impossible to do anything, because the enemies do heavy damage and you do very little. After you lvele up a bit and learn hit and run tactics, it becomes alot easier.
Story: 5/10
Okay, I haven't beaten the game yet, so I don't know about the ending. The problem I have with this game's story is that if you're in the middle of a level, you forget there is one. Its not untill you beat the whole area and its main boss untl you remember where you are in the story.
Other: There is multiplayer for up to four people. You can wear up to 2 types of armor at onec (a main armor and a support one), and can carry up to 3 ready-to-equip weapons, but cannot switch them out in the middle of a level.
And I have to leave for an exam right now :sick :hh
